HI. According to immigration I can file my 90 day reporting before the 90 day due date or within 7 days after. Question: Does the 2,000 baht per day fine for lateness start on the 91st day or 98th day. Thank you
Just read an article that in May 20 25, they are re-implementing the TM6. It will be a digital version and will be up to you to keep it up-to-date as you change residence during your stay in Thailand. The article also said that it will eventually replace the TM 30. So all in all I guess it’s a good thing. They also said everyone no matter what type of visa you are on will be required to keep an update TM6 digital copy. And of course, failure to do so will result in fines or penalties. This is as per the Pattaya Mail
Hello, I have a question regarding my visa situation🙏🏼
Year 2021 I had a 12 month business visa. I quit my job and left the country
Came back 2 months ago on a visa exemption and when it was time to make the 30 day extension, immigration office rejected it because I didn’t “cancel” my business visa properly
They say I need an official letter from my previous employer with a stamp, then go to immigration and get a cancellation stamp..
Now the problem is that this company have been ignoring my messages & calls from last year..
I tried to reach out multiple times but it’s a dead end. I can’t get this official letter…
Hey fellow Thailand residents, I have a ‘hypothetical’ question. Have any of you failed to do a 90 day report? And if so, what happened later? Fines? Etc.
I have a feeling I might have royally screwed up. I thought that when I renewed my retirement visa back in December it reset the 90 days back to zero. But apparently it did not. I’ve now been here over six months! Yikes! 😬
Just a heads up before Robert Lagus deletes this. If your reporting office is Chumphon, and by law you are now requiring you to report on arrival back home. they didn't care before. If you stay in a hotel down the street on the beach and check in and out you still need to inform immigration you returned to your house. I got burnt for 2000 baht today for my last trip to Bangkok last week.
Hello, I have questions about reporting to Thai immigration for update of TM-30 upon re-entry.
Thanks in advance for reading & for any advice.
I'm on a Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa and plan to do a border run this weekend, Chiang Khong/Houayxay. Last time I left the country I was fined 1600 B for not reporting to immigration/updating my TM-30 within 24 hours of reentry--I was 2 weeks late, had no idea about the requirement.
My questions are:
1) Does the fine go up by the day--is it 200 baht/day after the first 24 hours, as I seem to remember reading somewhere?
2) Can I report in Chiang Rai, even though my address is in Chiang Mai?
3) If I report in Chiang Rai, are their reporting hours the same as the CM Immigration TM-30 office (8:30-4:30, every day)? How are the lineups at the Chiang Rai office on a Sunday, if it's open on Sunday?
