HI. According to immigration I can file my 90 day reporting before the 90 day due date or within 7 days after. Question: Does the 2,000 baht per day fine for lateness start on the 91st day or 98th day. Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The fine for late 90-day reporting in Thailand starts after the 7-day grace period, meaning it applies from the 98th day, not the 91st. However, the fine is a flat rate of 2,000 baht regardless of how many days late you are, whether it's 8 days or 8 months. Additionally, reporting can be done up to 15 days before the due date and up to 7 days after the due date.

You do know that there are agents that will file the 90-day reports for you for one year for $1,500 baht, yes?

It is not 2000 a DAY, it is, a flat 2000 no matter how late.

The 2,000 fine is a one payment as far as I’m aware unless rules have changed it’s a 2,000 fine nothing more nothing less you can do your report 15 days before and up to 7 days after you can also do it on line

It is a 2000B fine whether you are 8 days late or 8 months late, it is not 2000B/day.

Yes, because there is a time window... 15 days before due date, 7 days after... for reporting in person. For mail or online the windows are smaller.

The fine starts after the 7 day grace period. And if you get to the point of being fined, you should just hold off until the next time you need to go to immigration. Because the fine is the same 2000 baht whether you are 8 days late or 8 months late.

no. Online reporting can only be done before the due date. And some offices only accept online applications from 15-7 days BEFORE the due date and reject any applications after that. If it's past the due date it must be done in person, but no fine until 8 days after.
