Hello! I have a question regarding the DTV. My wife and I are moving to Chiang Mai, and we’re curious about the proof of financials. If one of us applies, can the other come in on their visa? Or would we have to each apply for one?

Also, if we do have to each apply, do each of us show proof of the THB 500,000 in two different accounts? Or would one account with THB 500,000 be sufficient?

Thanks in advance! We’ve never left our home country before so this whole process is brand new to us, and we appreciate any and all advice 🫶

Hi Everyone,

I applied for SoftPower in Jakarta on 8th of May at 4 pm. I didnt calculate that they have a holiday on Monday and Tuesday. In my application and invitation and my flight says I am flying to Thailand on 15th - which is Thursday after 4 pm.

Do you think there is a chance my visa is going to be accepted and issue by that time?

Thank you!

I am applying for a ltr visa in the Work from abroad professional. My company told me they would prefer to submit their portion of the paperwork directly to the Thai government rather than have me upload it. Does anyone know if this is possible and if so, how? If there’s an email address to send things to separate from the Visa application form.

Hello, i am currently in Thailand and my passport is almost full (i still have some little space left on 2 or 3 pages, enough space for the small stamp of visa exempt entries but 0 blank pages left).

I plan to go to China and then go home from China. But my flight for China is on the same day as my last day allowed by my visa exemption in thailand, which means if i am not allowed to board in, i will have to take a flight the day after to go home, and therefore will get an overstay of 1 day.

I really want to avoid the overstay, i stay in thailand usually 6 months per year and i dont want to get more hassle in the future because of 1 day overstay.

Do you know if its possible in Bangkok to check in online and to through the immigration 1 day before the departure? And then to wait in the boarding area…?

Ps: 2 months ago i have been to China i already had 0 page left on my passport and it was ok at the immigration but the airline did not check… i dont need a visa for china and the stamp is very small, but now i really have not much space on my passport.

Thank you.

I am getting married to my Thai partner in early July and wish to retire in Thailand. I have started to an application for a non o visa and I got extremely bogged down around the fourth page asking for things like proof of medical insurance and funds in a Thai bank account as well as a medical certificate and police clearance. Am I approaching this the right way. I am from Australia. I'm sure that this kind of question has been asked repeatedly however, any constructive information would be greatly appreciated. I intend to register our marriage and apply for a spousal visa.

Hi All, If you exit Cambodia with a Non-B visa without a re-entry permit, is it automatically cancelled when you return to Thailand, or do you have to go to Chaeng Watthana to cancel it? Thank you so much.

Looking for help. I studied in Thailand last year for 6 months on an ED Visa. The school, last time told me that it would be advisable for me to Cancel it before I left, and I did.

I Re-Entered Thailand on an ED visa again, however due to a Family Emergency I left Thailand in a hurry to return back to the USA after only 6 weeks. This time, I did not Cancel my visa. The lady at the Border Control area let me know that my visa was still good till June 28th and that I didn’t need to leave yet. I let her know that I had a family emergency and had to return home early. Nothing more was said and she waved me through.

It wasn’t until I got to the LA airport that I realized that I forgot to go to the Immigration Office and cancel it. I have read stories online about having problems after not canceling a visa and to be honest I’m a bit confused about it all.

Next time I come to Thailand I was planning on using a NON-O 90 day Visa to stay with my Thai wife. The question is, am I going to have problems getting this Visa now simply because I forgot to cancel my ED Visa?
