Hi, what are your thoughts on Sin Sod and how is it worked out, do thai families still keep it or do they give it back after the wedding?

Hey Everyone,

I’m wondering if anyone has had experience with getting the DTV Visa from Cambodia through the new E-visa system?

I was really hoping to apply in person, but they’ve fully switched online now. My biggest concern is that I cannot properly submit all the paperwork I prepared because the online submission only allows for 1x3MB file. I’m applying as a freelancer and need to submit my portfolio, and US Business Registration, and I can’t fit it all into a small enough file.

My plan initially was to print out all of the paperwork and kind of overkill the paperwork side with proof of everything, my portfolio and 6 months bank statements, etc. Now I’m just nervous I won’t be approved, because I can’t fit it all onto the application online.

My flight/hotel is already booked in Phnom Penh for next week. Hoping for the best but any reassurance, or insight would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏼

Hey there everyone,

is it true that if you leave after 180 days and then you return, you again ca. Have to pay 300€?

In my opinion, you only have to pay for DTV once.

Thank you for your replies

Hallo zusammen,

I have a friend that successfully received their DTV visa and used their credit card statement address as proof of residency. Has anyone else tried this or is this up to interpretation? I've only ever heard of people using rental contracts or utility bills.

Under freelance self employed dtv, has anyone tried putting in trading your own stock portfolio for income as a freelance digital nomad skill?

Was it accepted?

I understand that for 90-day reporting, the first report must be done in person. After that, it seems we can do it online. However, as DTV holders, each entry stamp is valid for 180 days, and we can either leave the country or extend our stay for another 180 days. I have two questions about these scenarios:

1. If we leave Thailand (even for a border run) before the first 180 days are up, and we’ve already completed the initial 90-day report in person, can the next 90-day report after re-entry be done online?

2. If we extend our stay for another 180 days without leaving the country, making a total of 360 days, will the remaining 3 or 4 reports after the initial in-person report be allowed online?

Thank you for your clarification.

Hello,

Is it true that if I get DTV and not use 180 days, let’s say only 150 days and then come back to my country and reenter Thailand next calendar year clock starts counting again? If yes this can be done through whole validity of the visa (5 years)?

Thanks,

P.
