Hello, Im planning on traveling to Chiang Mai in September and looking for advice for a retirement Visa. I have a monthly pension from DFAS and draw disability benefits from the VA. Are there any US veterans that can share some advice?
Hi guys. I want to ask if a married couple wants to apply for DTV visa. Should they apply simultaneously? or whomever is applying for spouse visa should wait for the other to apply and get first?
Hi all, so I have a friend his visa got denied, he’s Nigerian. The email they sent didn’t state the reason.
What’s the best possible solution for him? Because he had submitted all the necessary documentation, and even went for a physical interview.
Can his visa get an appeal or what can he do about it? Thank you all
Question on applying for Retirement visa in Thailand. Q: on the requirement for $800 k THB in a Thai bank for 2 months prior to visa application, how does one open a Thai bank account without a visa? I'd be there on visa exemption status. TIA
How to apply for 2 visas? For the 1st month I plan to volunteer at a conservation project and thereafter extend my stay an extra 30-45 days to visit?
I’m a Canadian retired 59y
Thank you!
I want to convert my German drivers license to Thai. Can I use the yellow book as Proof of Residency?
Just got approved in Warsaw after 7 (5 business) days as remote worker. Thank you all for your advice!

At this point I started to worry a little bit after reading a story about Warsaw Embassy cancelling someone's applications due to the lack of exit stamp from previous visit - I got back from Thailand a week prior to application and went through e-gates hence didn't have departure stamp either. I posted here for advice and followed it. Details below.
Submited full passport same day at 5:20pm
22.05 ~2:30pm
Request for further documents: statement about my current wearabouts signed by the applicant.
At this point I already knew (thanks to this community) what they were after, so I decided to make it easy - just as someone here suggested. I prepared a letter explaining my current residence and my last trip to Thailand with it's full itinerary, boarding passes, confirmation on luggage admittance and even a selfie I took at the BKK airport gate right before boarding. I also stated that since I left Thailand the single entry on-arrival visa I had is no longer valid and I do not hold any other type of Thai visa.
Submitted same day at ~5pm
23.05 Application status changed to awaiting Approval
28.05 5:05pm APPROVED.
Thank you all!
Has anyone here successfully obtained a DTV for their spouse or dependent?
I recently received approval for my own DTV and have submitted a separate application for my wife.
I’m curious about the typical processing time for dependent applications.
How long did it take for your spouse or dependent to get approved?
Is there any issues with the visa website right now. This morning I couldn't process the payment for my visa application. Spent 30 minutes on the phone with my bank and he was in contact with Visa cardholder to see why it wasn't going through. They verified that no suspicious activity and apparently the bank that handles payment processing is in Hong Kong. After all of that it still wouldn't go through. I checked the group and saw if there's a difference in any addresses then it'll fail. But I only have 1 address throughout the application and I entered it correctly. EDIT TO ADD. After another couple of hours of trying and calling the bank it finally went through.
Hello everyone. I might sound a bit dumb here but please be patient. I am having some concern that I might have filled the incorrect date of expiry for my passport. So I am planning to apply the visa in country that is fast in processing and I read that hanoi processing day is 3 business days. Is that correct? For my current application, I already contacted the cambodia thai embassy but it was not delivered. So I am kinda lost now. And i need to be in thailand before June 18th. Can someone assist me on this? Thank you!
