Is there any issues with the visa website right now. This morning I couldn't process the payment for my visa application. Spent 30 minutes on the phone with my bank and he was in contact with Visa cardholder to see why it wasn't going through. They verified that no suspicious activity and apparently the bank that handles payment processing is in Hong Kong. After all of that it still wouldn't go through. I checked the group and saw if there's a difference in any addresses then it'll fail. But I only have 1 address throughout the application and I entered it correctly. EDIT TO ADD. After another couple of hours of trying and calling the bank it finally went through.

Answer summary

The user experienced difficulties processing a visa application payment on the official website, as the payment was repeatedly declined despite the bank confirming no suspicious activity. After several hours of troubleshooting, the payment eventually went through. Other users shared similar experiences, suggesting that notifying credit card companies of international transactions might resolve the issue.

they did in the morning verifying that yes the bank that it processes the transaction is hong kong. I guess because I'm still a relatively new account they monitor it more. It's my 2nd bank account that I got because wise wasn't delivering to USA still when I opened an account to get reimbursed for atm fees and not international fees. Though yesterday I saw wise is available to deliver debit cards in the us again and ordered 1 for just in case I need it

make sure you aren't using a VPN, or alternatively try using a VPN. Use a data connection as opposed to a WiFi network. Borrow a friend's/family members card if possible and try that
