Has anyone here successfully obtained a DTV for their spouse or dependent?

I recently received approval for my own DTV and have submitted a separate application for my wife.

I’m curious about the typical processing time for dependent applications.

How long did it take for your spouse or dependent to get approved?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the experience of obtaining a Dependent Visa (DTV) for a spouse. The author has recently received approval for their own DTV and inquires about the processing time for their wife’s application. Comments reveal that some applications, like those for children, can be approved quickly (within a week), while dependent applications may take longer due to a queue of other applicants. One commenter indicates it's common for the processing time to be similar to the primary applicant's, mainly due to backlog rather than intensive vetting.

I submitted applications for my 2 children and spouse in HCMC. My children’s applications were approved in one week, but my spouse’s application is still pending approval at the 12 day mark. All three applications were submitted within minutes of each other.

Usually the same length as your application. It isn’t that they are vetting stuff, it is more that they have other applicants ahead of you to review.
