I will extend my non-immigrant O (Thai wife) visa next week, but in a different province.

As far as I remember it takes a while until I receive the visa. Can I still leave Thailand after the application documents have been handed over to the immigration, as I have to go back to Europe for 2 weeks? I'm asking because they'll probably come to do a home visit...

Have anyone tried to do a visa run crossing the border by train or walking? I'm thinking to do it at the south border with Malaysia. I'm researching but I cannot find clear info.

Does anyone know why when you select spouse for a dependent visa, it asks the dependent’s employer, occupation and income?

The whole idea of the dependent option is to make it possible for spouses who aren’t earning an income. And yet the way it’s phrased makes me hesitant to put down $0 for income because it feels like their visa would be rejected…

Anyone have experiences they can share about their spouse applying for the DTV dependent visa? Thank you!

Hi everyone,

I am interested in applying for the DTV in Australia (I am also an Australian citizen) if i apply for the DTV, i will be applying as a remote worker.

i would like to hear from fellow Australians who have successfully applied for the DTV, and i have the following questions :

1. Would a copy of my employment contract or Letter of Offer suffice ?

2. Would a bank statement copy showing 500k worth of Baht suffice ? Or i would need additional docs ?

3. Do i need to gets these copies certified by a Justice of Peace etc ?

4. How long was the application process ?

5. And just to double check, i will need to apply for the DTV via this site ? (www.thaievisa.go.th)

Thank you in advance.

In my recent experience a DTV isn't a guaranteed reentry into Thailand ( words from an IO)and IOs are asking to see proof that you do what you said you did on your original application. Doubt most people will be asked but i'm certainly going to have a print out of my original application next time. X (land border) 99 % of you toe rags will be fine, i'm just saying have a bit of proof with you as some of the IOs are jobsworths.

Hi all.

I want to move to Thailand for a year or two on a trial basis before applying for the DTV 5 year (if it truly becomes home)

What would be my best options for 1-2 years in Thailand? I would like to freelance and potentially work for and with Thai businesses while I'm living here.

I see a lot of options but I hope you lovely folks can help point me to the best options for my requirements.

Thanks and happy to give more info if needed!
