I agree Mark. If someone can afford to pay for 1st class flights I am surprised he is worried about exchange rates. I hope he didn't vote for Trump as if he did, he only has himself to blame
hi Wayne thanks for writing. As she works for the government and funds her daughter in university, and lives in a government property, I feel she can get good documentation supporting her visa. She would stay with me and as a retired guy, I have pensions and savings to support a 2 week stay. We haven't met yet but I can't see what that has to do with anything. By the time next July comes we will have over 1 year of daily txt and chats. Thank you
Stuart I am happy you found her, and I guess you are younger than me and she wasn't tied to staying in Thailand. Suyada is because of her girls and we did discuss whether she would leave Thailand and it was an easy no . As I said I could stay there 3 months at a time but for 7hrs a day I am by myself as she works, and as I am an active person besides swimming and playing snooker, I might find it hard to entertain myself. It would be a new challenge. She also has her friends, her gym and 3 nights dancing which I wouldn't want her to give up, so I can't quite see how me living in Chaing Mai for 3 months would work. Maybe I have to do my travels each visit and stop with her for a month. Factor in health travel insurance too. As I said I will wait until I see her. It might end up a good friendship for 2 x 1 month every year. Marriage is not likely.
Sorry that was a rambling reply, must be the red wine. If I was younger things might be different. What is important is that I have a loving companion even if I spend 6 months a year with her (and only evenings and weekends.... Not ideal)
