Can I leave Thailand and re-enter visa-free after my Non-O visa expires if I can't get an extension?

Have a good day!

I will apply for a Non O Immigrant visa for 3 month staying in HuaHin. Totally I intend to stay there for 5 month. If I don't get an extension, can I leave the country and get in for for further two month visafree?

I cannot get an OA Visum, because the Thai embassy in Vienna forces a medial certificare only by a public hospital, and they don't do this, no certificate for travel reasons possible....

Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user plans to apply for a Non-O Immigrant visa to stay in Hua Hin for 3 months but wishes to stay for a total of 5 months. They are inquiring if they can leave Thailand and re-enter for an additional 2 months without a visa if unable to secure an extension. A comment suggests that the user would need to perform a 'border bounce' to re-enter Thailand after their Non-O visa expires.

Yes you will need to border bounce as the only extensions that may be available to you is the 12 month extension with financial requirements or possibly the 60 day Visit Thai Family extension.

it is said, that the 12-month extension depends on the officer, although you have all requirements. Will I get any troubles to get out and in the country at the end of the three month in a visafree way for Austrian or is there the same problem with the emotion of the immigrant officer? Thanks again!

you can leave anytime but if you want to keep your current status and exit date you'll need a re-entry permit

unlikely you'll be questioned following a Non-O unless you have a recent history of Visa Exempt entries and extended stays
