Applied in Jakarta — and amazingly, it got approved in just three days

Since I didn’t have much time, I decided to go through an agent. Most of the reviews I read said it would take at least 10 days to get approved, so I booked a 10-day stay in Bali just in case.

But unexpectedly, the visa came through early. With this “extra time” on my hands, I’m now seriously considering going one step further — maybe I should just apply for Indonesia’s digital nomad visa?

I'm a sole proprietor of my LLC and all my income goes into a business bank account under the company name. I understand that for the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV), they usually want to see personal bank statements, not business accounts — even if I'm the sole owner and signatory.

If I open a Wise personal account, transfer the funds from my business account to it, and keep it there, can that be used as proof of funds for the DTV application?

Also:

* How long does the money need to sit in the new personal account before it's considered valid proof?

* Will the lack of 3–6 months of personal statement history be a problem if I include a letter explaining the transfer and that I'm a sole proprietor?

I know of someone that has a felony that would like to travel to Thailand. Would they be permitted to enter the country to visit for a few days for travel purposes?

Anyone else had problems with NCU (north Chiang Mai university)? I was on a year ED visa with them and was planning on getting on the DTV next.

Well upon asking for a visa cancellation letter to exit the country before the end of the ED visa, I learnt that my visa was cancelled over 3 months ago. Apparently they cancelled 1000 students visas at the time. Didn’t bother to inform anyone. This is totally absurd, but I find myself illegal now, and most likely blacklisted.

If you had similar experience or know somone, please contact me. And if your planning on taking classes with that school please don’t.

Hi everyone,

Has anyone here submitted bank statements from a business bank account that’s under their own name? In my case, I own a sole proprietorship, and the business account is in my name because the business itself is called with my name. I assume this shouldn’t be an issue, but I wanted to check if anyone has experience with this or ran into any problems.

I have a question about the DTV visa in Thailand. I want to apply for it. I've been in Thailand in February. I left to do a border run in Malaysia and then I came back and I have been training Muay Thai in Chiang Mai for the past month. I just left again on July 4th to meet my parents in Sicily and then I'm supposed to fly back the 19th. I talked to my coach. He told me to go to Bali to fill out for the DTV visa. My question is about the 500k baht. I have a Vanguard account that's had over 11,000 usd in it within the past three months and now I just went ahead and completed it and put the 15,000 USD which is the 500,000 baht. Will that be acceptable or do they need to see that 500k bot in my account for more than three months? My coach’s is filling out the proper paperwork for my dtv visa through Muay Thai. I also have 55k USD in my 401k on my vanguard but I’m not sure if that matters. I know have 17580 usd in my vanguard account now. This is not a 401k. Also where is the best place and fastest to apply for the dtv visa. I fly out the 19th and do not have a flight out yet so figuring out my next move to apply for this

I have a Bangkok Bank account, since January I've paid in 65K Bht every month. I'm now in the UK and will return to Thailand in December, before returning I'll be applying for a non O retirement visa via the London Thai Embassy so I can hopefully go for the 1 year visa on arrival in Thailand.

My questions are:

1/ Is it true the Bangkok bank requires the 800K to be in the account for 4 months before supplying a confirmation letter for immigration? If so I need to pay in the 800K into the account in August for acceptance in December.

2/ As I've been paying in 65K since January this year when can I use the monthly payment scheme to keep the retirement visa active allowing me to move or spend the 800k.

Hi everyone, planning to arrive in Thailand with a Non-O visa at which point I need to open a bank account. I understand that the bank will require a certificate of residence issued by immigration.

My question is, if I am staying in a hotel for the first few weeks, assuming the hotel has submitted my TM30, will I experience any difficulties in obtaining the certificate of residence? Or will immigration expect a lease agreement to issue the certificate of residence?

In short, can one obtain a certificate of residence from immigration if they are staying in a hotel? Thank you!
