Has anyone with the DTV left Thailand and re entered with it? And is there anything to prepare, or enter as usual?

Has anyone by chance tried to renew their 5 yr driving licence yet with the dtv?

Went to dlt yesterday and they said can only renew for a 2 yr licence because only have 6 month stamp in the passport, even though the visa is valid for 5 year!

Is it necessary to pay around 7000 baht to open a bank account in all banks in Thailand or does only Bangkok bank charge this fee?

I have a work permit and non-b visa (extension) on my UK passport.

I am currently outside of Thailand, but will return.

However I lost my UK passport, I also have an Irish passport (never used), are these connected in any way?

Or will I need to return on my Irish passport, somehow cancel my work permit and visa without my UK passport, and then re-apply on my Irish passport?

Can I simply make flight reservations to leave USA, without doing anything else, receive a 60 day visa upon arrival and then apply for an additional 30 days near the end of my 60 days there. Or do I still have to send all the paperwork to the Thai Consulate in California in order to be issued a visa. I have been told we can now receive a 60 day visa upon arrival. Confused.
