In the past there was a different no of days allocated to a visa on arrival for an overland entry (15 days) to Thailand vs an international airport entry (30 days)

Does the 60 days visa on arrival now apply to all methods of entry to Thailand. If the 60 day visa on arrival applies to border runs, how many of these can you do before they shut the door on you? Has anyone tested this validity? If so what is the number reached?

Looking a bit forward of that, is there any idea yet, when and how, the mooted 'Schengen' type S-E Asian visa will come into being? Either in a total model or a phased in model?

Also when does the Thai government $13.00 tourist tax kick in and will it be collected?

Hello, I have a question regarding banks in Thailand. Since I only have a tourist visa, I am not able to open a bank account. Therefore, I opened an account using my girlfriend’s identity. I have a debit card that allows me to make withdrawals. However, since my girlfriend's phone number was provided to the bank, I cannot use the app on my phone, which is a bit inconvenient... So, I asked my girlfriend to allow me to access my bank account online without using the app, but with a username and password. She explains that it’s dangerous due to scammers and that only the app is secure. Honestly, I don’t see why it would be riskier with a Thai bank than with a French bank to connect without the app. Connecting through the internet just means using a username and password... What do you think?

If applying for a DTV via the ‘soft Thai’ route (course registration for Muah Thai, learning Thai, cooking etc) is there a register of approved insitituions, or can you just choose anyone you wish ???

Does anyone have any experience getting a DTV while still having a non b with extension and work permit?

I was planning on cancelling them before I leave to go to Vietnam to apply for DTV but the paperwork to cancel them the correct way didn’t come through in time.

I have seen some people say they have been approved for DTV while holding another visa and also some saying you can’t get approved while holding another visa.

It’s a risk to apply and get rejected and lose 10k but at the same time if I have to do an entirely new trip after cancelling my other visas once I return to Thailand it’s going to cost me more than 10k so I am weighing up the pro’s and con’s of applying anyway to try my luck. I will be applying in HCMC.
