Shouldn't we enquire with the basic question what Nationality and or passport do you hold or are you using?... Before going off on some weird responsive tangents? Not everyone has the benefits of living in Thailand nursing sick Isaan buffaloes πŸƒ..

So are you one of the mugs that has been doing border runs and/or paying out for Isaan sick buffaloes?

This visa requirements of 800kTHB, just highlights the stupidity of Thai financial thinking in general where they have no concept of financial and real estate management other than when it all goes pear shaped to go find a farang to rip off or act as the proverbial money tree. Meanwhile they try and get lao, Cambodian and Myanmar labour for a fraction of what they would pay for Thai labour. Meanwhile the Shinawatra family want to further corrupt the Thai economy with large casino based entertainment complexes. The only smart money in Asia, is China who keep their gambling vices mostly isolated to the former colony of Macau.

No wonder it is the land of the smiles..."Hello Falang...have I got a good deal for you?" 😁😁😁

So you can learn Thai style how to not observe speed limits, drive while over the blood alcohol limit and heaven forbid can drive while texting or talking on your smartphone or driving one handed while video recording on your smartphone. Oh and don't forget to put your motorcycle helmet in the front basket in case you have an accident, and car seat belts are just ornaments that you don't have to wear!

Strangely enough I found Vietnam to be a lot cooler than Thailand at the same time of the year. Depending where you are in Vietnam, the further north you go, the cooler it gets. Also as Vietnam has a long coastline bordering the South China Sea, it has the benefit of cooling sea breezes which Thailand seems to lack., especially during that hot Songkran period starting April then May/June. Cambodia, being almost landlocked, except for Sihanoukville in the south suffers from the same heat issues as Thailand. I am guessing here, but most likely you will be going to Angkor Wat (Siem Reap) in the north -west of Cambodia, so again bloody hot in that April/May/June months.

You do realise that one of the reasons at least for April May being low season is that it is so bloody hot at that time of the year in Thailand. Coinciding with Songkran festivals (usually everyone blasting each other with water to try and cool down). July, August is not so bad as it is heading into 🌧️ rainy season. But like so many other places in the world the climate/weather patterns are becoming more unpredictable.

So that answers my question a few days ago that 3 consecutive on arrival visas of 60 days where you hit the 180 day limit, appears to be what you can get away with. But as stated by several members earlier this can be at the discretion of the particular IO (Immigration Officer). However my guess would be that if you are well dressed and groomed, and don't look like some of the reprobates I saw on the Ranong/Victoria Point (Myanmar) border runs, I did several years ago now, then you will not necessarily attract too much attention from any one particular Thai IO.
