Dumb question but I scanned my 4x6cm photo and it has the photo in the center of a white background (sheet of paper) so it looks fairly small. Does this work or I need to crop the white background and make sure the actual jpg file size is also 4x6 cm?

Hey. Got a few questions about the DTV Visa I'd love to get some help with. I'm applying in Taipei.

1. If you already live in Thailand, can you write your Thai address as your permanent address on the DTV application form?

2. About the bank balance showing 500K+ THB, does it have to be from the day of application or can it be from 1 or 2 days prior to application?

3. Should the passport copies be in color or black and white? I once had an immigration officer not accepting my application because the copies were in color.

Thank you.

Spouse DTV Approved! 🎉

I’m sharing my experience to help others navigating the process:

My husband got his DTV in Taipei, and it only took him 2 days —super fast and easy!

Since I’m Vietnamese and needed a visa for Taiwan, I applied for the DTV in Ho Chi Minh City instead.

Tips for a smoother process:

- Consider a short beach vacation: If you’re applying at the HCM consulate, flying into Da Nang or Nha Trang is a great option for a relaxing break while waiting for your results.

- Double-check your uploads: When uploading my passport page, the name order changed. Make sure to fix any errors and always click save before moving to the next page.

My Timeline:

- 5/12: Submitted my application with the following documents:

+ ID card

+ Vietnam passport stamp

+ Husband's passport and DTV scan

+ Husband’s 3 months’ bank statements

+ Sponsorship letter

+ Marriage certificate

- 9/12: Received a request for 6 months’ bank statements.

- 10/12: Submitted additional documents:

+ Uploaded savings account statements (opened only 4 months ago) and highlighted the last 2 months’ balances (over 500,000).

+ Also submitted a 6-month checking account statement and highlighted the transfers to the savings account.

- 11/12 Morning: Pending Approval.

- 11/12 Evening: Visa Approved! 🎉

It actually took me only 3 working days to get approved, as 5/12 and 10/12 were Thai holidays, plus the weekend.

I hope this helps anyone going through the process. Wishing you the best of luck!

Hi. I would like to ask if the re-entry counter is still located before the immigration booths at Suvarnabhumi airport and is it still open 24 hours?

Many thanks🙏🙏🙏

Has anybody been to Immigration in order to extend their 60 days “on arrival visa” for an extra 30 days at 1900 Bahts.

If so, could you tell me if I am gonna need to justify where I stay? Does my accommodation owner need to fill up some online form to prove I live there?

Thank you. 🙏

Has someone who is a foreigner done a police record (background check) with the Thailand police clearance service for you duration of stay in Thailand (for visa purpose for visiting a third country for example)? Could you please give an advice if it's possible at all and the required documentations? Is it possible to do it by yourself or is using an agent recommended?
