Has anybody been to Immigration in order to extend their 60 days “on arrival visa” for an extra 30 days at 1900 Bahts.

If so, could you tell me if I am gonna need to justify where I stay? Does my accommodation owner need to fill up some online form to prove I live there?

Thank you. 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about extending a 60-day 'on arrival visa' by an additional 30 days at Immigration, specifically asking if proof of accommodation is required. Comments advise that the landlord should file a TM30 form and that having a printout is often necessary. It is also suggested that it may be easier and less stressful to use a visa agent for the process. Clarifications about the differences between visa on arrival and visa exemption schemes are provided.

Visa on arrival can't be extended. You must be referring to the visa exemption scheme. Totally different things with totally different official names.

If you require any visa or extension of stay, it's always best practice to visit the immigration office you will be using, and ask for a list of requirements, because with immigration offices it can vary slightly from office to office, most will require a printed receipt of the TM30, or I've heard of some people just taking a photo of the screen after it's been completed, and printing it themselves, a while ago some immigration offices didn't require it, if there was a recent one already filed in the system, another option would be to pay to stay in a hotel for one night and get a TM30 from them (check with the immigration office some won't accept one night) depending on the office you use sometimes it's just not worth the hassle, you can just hand your passport to a visa agent and they will complete the whole process for around ฿4000.

Just go to an agent is so much easier and stress free. I paid 4600 bht have them my passport they took photos drove me to immigration strain sat in chair photo taken then photo taken outside immigration then drove me back to office picked passport up two days later.

More than douple the price (1900 Baht), and had to wait 2 days, instead of getting the extension in a couple of hours.

Bad decision to use a agent

And handing over your passport! To an unlicenced and unaccountable person! My oh my!!

I am cool doing it myself, it’s just that the Airbnb I am staying in is “flying under the radar” and the landlord would rather not have to fill out any kind of form and be noticed…so I need to think of plan B.

Just book in a cheap hotel for one night before going to do your extension. You only have to take a printed copy of TM30 if you stay in private accommodation. The hotel will do your TM30 online so just take proof of your booking.

You can often show a printed copy of any booking confirmation of your accommodation. You only need TM30 for longer stay visas.

Your landlord needs to file a TM30 (usuallu online) and you'll likely need a printed copy to get your extension or face a 1600B fine

Doubt you got visa on arrival. It's only for 15days, for certain passport holders.
