I applied for my DTV for April 2026. Will it automatically be rejected just because of the three months? I'm surprised they would allow you to enter a later date, but then cancel and charge you the 350€ just because it was >3 months from the application date...

I recently applied and haven't heard back. Do you think I have any chances of asking to push the date forward (change of plans) if I call the consulate?

Would the location of your Muay Thai/ Thai cooking class be a factor in the soft power application? Would it matter if I signed up for Arun Thai or some well known program from Bangkok but intend to live in Chiang Mai? Or would it be safest to find course offerings in my vincinity. I’m applying for the DTV

I already uploaded 6 months of bank statements from my savings account showing a stable balance of over £13,500 GBP (well above the 500,000 THB requirement).

This money is from an inheritance, but I’m not sure how to prove that in a way they will accept.

Questions:

1️⃣ Do I need to write a separate letter specifically explaining the inheritance, even though I mentioned it briefly in my original cover letter?

2️⃣ Do I need to show the original deposit transaction from when the inheritance was paid in, or is the 6-month stability enough?

If anyone else has used inheritance funds for their DTV proof, I’d really appreciate any advice on what you submitted and what worked.

DTV 500k

As it states 500k in bank within the last 3 months only problem is I always divide my wage into stock ISA

I definitely have the funds just wondering if any one was in the same boat as me and just transferred the money into back account and you explain the situation?

Anybody knows, does Phuket Immigration cancel a DTV and afterwards issue a Non Immigrant O visa (retirement)?
