I'm in Thailand on a non-immigrant o type Visa. We intend to apply for a marriage visa. My wife is thai we married in the U.S. We went to Kasikorn Bank to open an account. I had a printed copy of my evisa, my digital arrival card, my passport and our rental agreement. We also had with us a copy of our us marriage license that had been certified by the state the state department and the Thai Embassy in the United States.

Kasikorn Bank refuse to allow me to open up a bank account. I don't understand what's going on has anybody else had this experience with Kasikorn Bank?

In a previous post of mine it was mentioned that getting a METV raises suspicions to the immigration officer if arriving before on visa exempt. Is that correct? Am I actually better coming again on a visa exemption? I thought with an METV it would be a breeze. Will be visiting from the UK , January -March (60 days) and May-July(60 days).

90 days report.

Applied for a non O on a visa exempt. Does the time on a visa exempt counts towards the 90 days ? I guess it does, just double checking.

What docs do you need now ? Did it online before.

And thirdly. Im currently waiting for my new passport to arrive from the UK. Can I do it on the old passport ?

Hi, I have two questions regarding non-o, based on marriage to a Thai citizen

1. Is it better to travel to Vientiane or Savannakhet (currently in Thailand). Any difference regarding waiting times etc?

2. Does the 400,000 Thai Baht (3month duration) have to be in a Thai bank account, or can it be in an overseas account?

Jordee Wood asked in comments to unrelated topics:

I now understand that the re-entry permit fee is only paid when applying for it, usually after the annual visa is stamped.

So my choice of single- or multiple-entry before was just a preference—I can decide later.

When my 90 days expire, I will go back and tell them that I’ve changed my mind and want a multiple-entry permit.

I have another question: how many days before the 90-day temporary visa expires should I go back to immigration to get my annual marriage visa and decide on the re-entry permit?

I mean, can it be one or two weeks before?

Please make your own post next time.

Hanoi Requirements

I’m just looking at the requirements for hanoi and it states you have to be a legal resident? Does this mean you have to be a permanent resident or am i confusing it?

Good days everyone, I’m planning to submit my DTV Muay Thai Soft Power application in Vientiane. My question is: do I need to book an appointment in advance to pay the visa fee? If yes, which website should I use? The one they recommended seems to be the wrong site. Thank you.
