For those under DTV visa, how do you pay utility bills and day to day stuff? Like other than cash, are there possible ways to pay digitally for rent and stuff? Better to have a digital trace rather than rely on receipts.

And another big question, how do you buy a car if you can't have a thai bank account?

Stamp on DTV visa looks incorrect.

I arrived on July 16, 2025 on a DTV visa. The stamp expiry in my passport is November 11, 2026?

With a DTV it’s 180 days at a time and the DTV visa is valid 5 years, so the stamp confuses me and I’m concerned it will affect my 90 day reporting.

Also, if there are any agencies that offer 90-day reporting service, let me know. Might be smoother if stamp is incorrect.

Hi, how dangerous (war) and possible (visa) is it right now for an Italian (freelance web developer with no steady income, 46 years old) to move to Samui? What visa would allow me to live in Samui without immigration problems?

Has anyones DTV application been rejected due to enrolling on a one month course for soft power Muay Thai training?

I have identified a suitable package but concerned a one month training package will raise concerns when requestings a 5 year visa DTV visa.

I'm applying from the UK btw

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Hi everyone! We are in the middle of applying for a DTV Visa and in it you have to state where you will live during your stay. We are applying to stay from January 2026 to June 2027. We have only booked accommodation for 3 months. Does anyone have experience of how tricky it is that accommodation for the entire period needs to be included in the application?

Approved!! Ottawa Embassy for Canadians:

Applied September 11 thursday but used an agent (ISSA COMPASS) so they submitted it on the 12th. No updates until the 26th, on the 26th they asked for proof of where my funds came from.

I don’t hold much liquid cash in my bank account so the last transaction on my latest statement showed a lump sum of cash transferred into it from my stock portfolio.

I showed proof of my stock portfolio with statements, sourcing where the funds came from.

October 2 - approved

I’m a travel live streamer and used that for the DTV application. I showed proof of income from kick (the platform I stream on) and stripe payments that I received the last year. I was travelling most of 2025. Luckily I opened up a new corporation for that in July when I came back home in Toronto and used it for additional evidence towards the visa. I also sent my resume as requested by issa & also a cover letter explaining my duties and job scope. Gst / hst corporation registration letters and also the articles of incorporation documents.

I highly recommend using ISSA COMPASS the agent, because as a new business owner and digital nomad they helped with every little detail on what I must provide to get the highest chances of approval. Especially with a kind of tricky not so known “job”.

It also has money back free guarantee. No I’m not sponsored or shilling them out. Just a genuine experience.

$650 CAD cost for the visa application

I think the agent takes around $160 but I found a discount code online, (idk what the code is anymore), to reduce it to only around $80 cad.

I mean approximately 2000 THB to do this whole service is pretty great to me.

Only thing is that they reply on Bangkok Time because they’re from there. So I would be receiving messages at midnight to 3 am EST. Luckily my sleep schedule works around this haha.

I assume it was also approved earlier during the day on Oct 1 EST time but the agent don’t get to you until their working hours. So whenever the embassy in Canada asks something you would have to wait until night to receive the agents response and submit it then. So it would add a day delay if that makes sense.

Either way, still a great service.

Hello to everyone 🙏😊

Does anyone have any experiences with a cheap Thai health insurance which fulfills the requirements for getting a OA retirement Visa ?

I just need this insurance for the Visa issue. I have another health insurance which is not accepted for this purpose.

Thank you for all your help in advance.

And please say something when you know something.

🙏😊🙏
