*Do I need to transfer tourist visa exempt stamp?

Hello. I am in Thailand currently on a tourist 60 day exemption but just got a new (UK) passport sent over.

I have seen the graphic attached but it mentioned the place where i should do this is place that issued my latest extension hence I am checking what happens in case of tourist visa.

1. So do I need to transfer the tourist visa to the new passport? Is so ,where in BKK?

2. And if i need to do that do i need some kind of letter from my embassy?

Thanks

Quick question - is it possible to 'short term' extend a retirement visa for a couple of weeks like a tourist visa or is just a complete re-application?

Thanks.

KL embassy not accepting DTV visa applications. October 8 they will open online application, until then they’re telling everyone to get tourist visas. People are pissed as you can imagine because there’s no where to get this information online.

Copied from another grouoe as a heads up.

Luckily I’m here applying for a different visa… wish me luck

Advice needed please.

I am in Thailand on a Non-Res O visa 90 days & changing to a Non Res O retirement visa in November.

1. Plan on getting a bank account in Chiang Mai early next week.

2. Initially I will put in 65000 month until 15 days before expiry of current visa then top it up to 800000 baht.

Objective; Eventually I want to just do the monthly deposit & not leave 800000 in a low interest situation.

Question 1. if I make the bank balance up to 800000 baht before November AND continue paying 65000 month, am I able to draw out the full 800000 at some point to return it to home country?

Question 2. Can I use the money in this account to live on?

Thanks

Hi. When applying DTV in Vientiane, I heard you need show 500k balance in mobile bank application? I don’t have mobile bank application, only bank statements. Anybody know how does the process go?

Also would net liqudation value proof from eg. IBKR broker be accepted?

I need clarification in relation to the DTV.

The website suggests that you need to show that you have 500,000 Baht in an account. But many others say that you need to show that the 500,000 Baht has been in an account for 6 months.

Does anyone know which is correct?

Thank you all in advance

DTV obtained, Los Angeles consulate. Rejected first try. Received email after 4 grueling weeks that I had not typed my name exactly the same or had added or removed a space in typing my name, so different compared to my passport. Lost the $400, nonrefundable - that hurt! No response from Thai Evisa folks about details for my rejection. LA consulate responded by email just saying the money is nonrefundable and I would have to do a new application. Applied again, though I didn't know the exact mistake I made. Carefully typed my name...

Received based on Workation. I have a LLC, incorporated a few years already, and work is now done online. I sent incorporation paperwork, local city business license paperwork, and an affidavit (Googled examples of this after reading notes on this forum) attesting I am the owner, sole worker, all work done online, will have no Thai clients, etc. Sent current account statements. Driver license for proof of residency. Copy of passport. Current photo.

Everything same as first application. Paid again. Approved this time in approx 10 days.
