I went last October and I didn't need a visa because I only stayed three weeks. I just looked it up because I am going again in October. If you are staying thirty days or less an a American you only need your passport and a boarding pass or return ticket. They are also implementing a sixty day visa upon entering Thailand but that hasn't gone into affect yet. Check your information. Goggle this Do you need a visa to enter Thailand if you are an American
