TLDR : Answer Summary
For stays of 15 days in Thailand, a visa may not be needed, depending on your nationality. Many travelers, especially from countries like the United States, can enter Thailand under the visa exemption policy, allowing for a stay of up to 60 days without a visa. However, it's essential to have adequate funds, proof of accommodation, and a return or onward ticket. Always check the specific visa requirements related to your passport before traveling.

You can stay in Thailand for 60 days now...with a U.S. Passport. And then get A 30 day extension at a local Thai immigration office or do a border run for another 60 days.

Yes, you need a daily visa .

Report to immigration daily so they can stamp your passport so you don’t go to tourist prison.

Tourist visa single entry is 60 days.

Many countries get 60 days Tourist visa exemption, I believe Timothy is from one of those countries, in that case he will not need to apply for a visa.

A quick peek at your profile suggests you are an American so you do not need a visa. You can get a 60 day stamp at the border.

Don’t understand why people insist on doing anything but answering the question asked but.. 🤷‍♂️

Because there really are stupid questions.

Why wouldn't you look at the country that you plan to visit website before you do anything?

Don't you think that's the logical first step?

I still have mine from the early 90s. I'm in a different city this weekend and told my friend of a destination she didn't know.

My ereader has many travel books, and I use them.

Cultural do's and don'ts are my favorite chapters.

In my over 50 years of international travel, I've never asked one that stupid. Why entertain laziness?

A google search of traveling to Thailand is beyond so many folks. And ford forbid using any search feature.

If you can't figure anything out on your own, perhaps it's best to stay home.

my experience has been no. People do not go to google first. If they did use google most of the groups like this would not need to exist. Same as why don’t people search the group first? Same reasons. Because they don’t!

So answering genuinely asked questions with snarky remarks and sarcasm is just a juvenile unnecessary display providing no value whatsoever.

There’s no such thing as stupid questions. What I find as stupid is leaving comments NOT answering the question asked in a group intended to answer questions. 🤷‍♂️

There are stupid questions, and you're fighting for them.

In what universe does one not look at visa requirements on an official embassy site first?

I mean, the person is from "that" country with an abysmal reading comprehension level, but still.

statistically speaking. MANY first time posters don’t even know what a VISA is or how to acquire one for a given destination.

What I’m fighting for is NOT scaring people away because people are assholes.

So please, please have the audacity to say you’ve never asked a stupid question? 🙄

You don’t need a visa! If your from US your blue passport is all you need! People get really confused with all this visa bull shit! A lot of countries yes then you have to get a visa, but not US and I agree with Bonnie! Who the hell would ask if you need a visa for 15days. If your going on vacation half way around the world… wouldn’t you do a little reading on your trip? This guy is retarded

You get a 60 day visa exemption on arrival. Just make sure you meet the requirements for adequate funds and have lodging. The airline will also require proof that you have a return ticket or onward travel tickets.
