You can significantly reduce the cost by increasing the deductible. Ask for 250,000 deductible!

I went to immigration with proof of residence and paid 500baht for a letter. Opened an account at the Bangkok Bank. To open a wise account I needed to be in my home country.

It would seem by the comments the TM30 hasn't been explained. When every immigration office has a different interpretation of how it's managed, there isn't an easy interpretation. People need to figure out how their district office wants you to deal with it.

He only needed to make one typo and it's rejected. Even things which most countries would overlook as a genuine mistake will result in a rejection. So you need to start again and of course pay again. I didn't change the date from 2023 on my date of birth, they pointed out my mistake and even told me my actual date of birth, rejected pay again... Welcome to the land of smiles.

Been doing something similar for the past 15 years.

your joking of course. Do a comparison to Wise and you'll find it to be significantly more expensive to use the SWIFT system. I've done this myself and was shocked. That why XE and Wise have became so popular. We all once used the banking system.
