the authorities seem to be flexible my drivers license expired august last year and earliest appointment due covid was dec but they made it clear we could drive for upto a year in expired license once u made booking they have u a slip of paper with appointment time u could also use to verify you went to do it so i don’t think you will have any issues

but once u have your retirement and keep the 800,000 in the bank prior and the 400,000 after they probably need to see more statements now to ensure u did right thing in the OLD DAYS last few years they obviously only wanted 3 months prior to check u had the 800,000 there now things all changed xx i took TE because i got sick of all there chopping and changing rules

yes obviously depends how many in your family and really if u can afford i my wife and i have TE visa but it’s not for all as it’s expensive but it takes all the hassle out of living here especially if you need to reapply all the time for a family
