Easier than Thai. At least it is in Roman script and rones are clearly indicated. I would have thought 4 years along enough to get by. I found the Vietnamese quite mercenary in the tourist areas. But that happens everywhere.

It's not all about money everywhere though is it? I also have been to many places, usually the most frequented by tourists where it stands to reason that most people who approach you are on the make. Understandable but fkg annoying. I prefer places where it isn't "ALL about money"

I won't give that stupid remark the time of day pal. But we can discuss the other inanity that Thailand is a "man's world" if you wish. Outside of the sad world you frequent in "Good ol' Patts" there is a great deal more equality traditionally than there is/was historically in Western nations. Plenty of women climbing electrical poles, and working in roles that were in the past reserved for men where we come from. Women in Thailand run the show at home, manage the money etc unless the man is a no hoper. You stay with your Pattaya "man's world" and try not to talk too much shit about things you don't know about in the real world.
