I don't think that at all. I bring up two female children, and my mother in law is at our house more often than not so it is only the one eyed dog and myself who are male. I work away and all but my beer money and minor expenses is sent home weekly for my wife to save and look after the house and family, not limited to the immediate household (Thai style) which she does very well and she is never questioned by me. I have no interest in expenses as I have a wife to look after that. I bought into a Thai life and that's what I do. Hardly misogynistic is it? There are plenty of white "working girls" in Pattaya. Extremely expensive I hear. I have as much interest in that business though as you have. That place just saddens. I hope the lady in question can actually fulfill her dreams, and if as you say you came to Thailand on your own, with kids and only a rudimentary knowledge of the country and made a success of it anything is possible. Maybe with your help dreams can come true but it's a big ask.

Casting some aspersions there Charlie. You on the old "Farang comes to Thailand to screw Young's girls" predictable BS. I am married, live far away from "girly bars" in rural Thailand and am bringing up two adopted children with my wife. If the lady thinks she is going to land in Thailand without the least bit of knowledge about the country other than watching re-runs of "The Beach", with two kids in tow, on a teaching English course and no other source of income, no Thai language (you just taught her her first word, ฝรั่ง and it's meaning) , not to mention visas, she is in cloud cuckoo land. And you shouldn't be stereotyping people either or maybe I should be thinking about how YOU got along being a single white female looking to make money in Pattaya. Plenty of them too eh?

If you don't know even that much I think you should rethink your plans. Sorry to sound harsh but you don't have a clue.

I speak Thai stutteringly. I'm sure anyone attempting to speak Thai are aware of the difficulties. As I said, the questions of tone and vowel length are evident if one can read.
