yes. An initial 90 day visa in the UK and then to apply for the 12 month extension of stay once in Thailand.

I applied for a non-o last month. Submitted on Sunday evening and was approved by the following Wednesday. So it’s pretty quick. No extra questions were asked.

twice. Once on 30 exemption and once on 60 day Tourist. Extended both times for 30 days. Gap in between as toured round Vietnam, Cambodia and Hong Kong.

2-3 month gap this time to tour round Indonesia and Malaysia.

i was passed to a supervisor. Sounds like what others have said. Got stamped out ok but seemed strange.

Orchid Sheraton has its own boat which will take you across for free, also takes you down to the nearest BTS station.

Ok thanks for the replies. I’m over 50 so can go down the retirement visa route but my wife isn’t 50 for 3 more years.

Did this recently. So easy at the embassy in Phnom Penh. As Tod says allow the 3 working days as long as you have the paperwork all correct which is straight forward and easy. Don’t pay for an agent.

you’ll pop back 3 days later (between 3-4 is the only time allowed to pick up the passport with the visa) so unless you have a late flight you’ll need to stay in your hotel that night too!!
