Ask from ACS Amin? Travel insurance is not usually are same price like health insurance. Health insurance could be easily 4000thb because those covered differently. Travel insurances are usually 500-1000thb by month.
I am Finnish. I got cancer when I was in Thailand last year. I got blood clots too so I go there first private hospital (bad) to chemo (wrong medicine), then my insurance didn't pay anymore and I went government hospital (bad) in Thailand and it was super expensive. I had to put go fund me page and I got couple chemo more. Then I think should I stay there and try only turmeric because I didn't have money no more to chemo. I was in turmeric one month. I still had 2 blood clots but I flied to Finland. In Finland hospital fee is about 48 euros, chemo 11 euros.
This foreigners charging more is being there now about 3-5 years. I remember that. I was only foreigner in government hospital and I saw there every time I was there hundreds of Thais and nobody didn't pay nothing to cashier. Only I did. And suddenly that chemo stopped working in government hospital, I still got it that my cancer don't spread. I had worlds most aggressive and spreading cancer.
I think so but I am not sure, because I am EU citizen. I read from Finnish hospital website that price is same to all people no matter where are they come from.
Because of Thai doctor my cancer treatment go really badly wrong and I suffer now because of that. He didn't follow other doctors and World Health Organization prognostic scoring system, that's why everything went wrong really badly.
I don't trust Thai doctor's anymore after this experience. But that is only my experience.
Can I ask, why you didn't go to Europe to example Germany, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, Netherlands or Belgium to surgery? Treatment is free or almost free and in those countries treatment is excellent 👌
EDIT. I'm European and I was stuck in Thailand when I got my cancer diagnosis.
You need work permit usually and you need to show you can pay. Same thing like your home country. I think it's same everywhere, you need income (work, pension etc) to show you can pay.
