Hi, this is my first time doing this do I am asking this: could I first apply 60 days extension based on marriage and after that apply 1 year extension based on marriage? I have 1 year multiple entry visa based on marriage.

Is it possible change Non-O visa based on marriage inside Thailand to business visa? It should be easier for me and not so much hussle with papers.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the possibility of first applying for a 60-day extension based on their marriage to a Thai citizen and subsequently applying for a 1-year extension of stay, also grounded in marriage. They also seek clarification on whether it is feasible to switch from a Non-O marriage visa to a business visa while in Thailand. Responses indicate that while applying for the 60-day extension is theoretically possible, it's more advantageous to directly apply for the 1-year extension due to relaxed financial requirements for foreign spouses. Additionally, switching to a business visa is possible but may involve more complex paperwork.

As people say, I don't see any advantage for you to apply for 60days visiting Thai family extension before 1 year extension based on marriage to a Thai male... You can apply for a 1-year extension next business day if you have papers regarding marriage and others without financial proof. You can get WP based on that extension based on marriage but I don't believe you can get WP if you are on an extension based on visiting Thai family. Once you get an extension based on marriage, you can apply for changing reason to employment with a lot of papers the company provides if you want.

I would choose one of two after considering which has higher possibilities, leaving that job or leaving your marriage btw.

I understand you are a foreign woman married to a Thai man.

>could I first apply 60 days extension based on marriage and after that apply 1 year extension based on marriage?

In *THEORY*, yes. However, the major difference between a 60 day extension of stay based on visiting Thai family and a one year extension of stay based on marriage is the money requirements. As a foreign woman married to a Thai man, the financial requirements DO NOT apply to you.

> I have 1 year multiple entry visa based on marriage.

I'm not sure what that is. Is that a full page sticker that says "Non-O multiple", or a stamp that says "extension of stay based on marriage" WITH another stamp that says "re-entry permit". IF you have the stamps, you're already good. If you don't have the stamps, then you'll need to get the extension of stays.

>s it possible change Non-O visa based on marriage inside Thailand to business visa?

I'm guessing what you want to do is to work inside Thailand. An extension of stay based on marriage DOES NOT prevent you from getting a work permit. You can work legally with an extension of stay based on marriage - however you will need a work permit, so it can't be an illegal job.

I mean if I apply first 60 days extension and after that 1 year extension? Or should I apply only 1 year extension?

Job opportunity is legal work and of course company get me work permit. I just wondering is it more easier for me change non-o visa to business visa and is it possible?

They shouldn't have sold that visa to you :( You can stay for a maximum of 89 days per entry (which you already should know), but it is easy to get that one year extension of stay. Each immigration office is different, but generally you'll need the following:

1. Your passport and a copy of:

- Your data ("picture") page

- Your Non-O visa

- Your entry stamp

- Your departure card

2. Your husband PHYSICALLY next to you, and

- his ID card and a copy of her ID card

- his housebook [He'll know what it is], and a copy of the first page

3. The application form

4.. 2x passport pictures

5. 1,900 THB for the processing fee.

Different immigration offices have different requirements, and this may include:

- A copy of the TM30 filed where you live

- A hand drawn map to your house

- Pictures of you and your husband in various locations in the house (front of the house/ condo, in all rooms, etc)

- Witnesses or interviews with neighbors

- Rental contract (if renting property or a condo)

@Benj****
, you definitely need a marriage certificate (or whatever name - legal paper about marriage in Thailand) and legal papers related to marriage if any...

I'm not good about extension based on marriage, you may need some more additional papers to just a marriage certificate.. Anyway, you would go to get hands out of requirements..

I also wondering why they offer me this kind of visa because it was also expensive than 90 days visa.

I'd save the 1,900 THB and just apply for a one year extension of stay based on marriage. You *CAN* file for a 60 day extension of stay based on visiting Thai family if you need more time to collect the documents. Generally people use that extra 60 days to season the 400K THB (which won't apply to you).

Stick with the marriage based extension...

Yes if married to Thai...which I believe you are...

Are you a foreign lady STILL married to a Thai man ?

You can get a 60 days family visit extension...1,900 Thai baht...

But why would you want to do that?

You can NOW get the one year marriage extension....but NO 400,000 Thai baht in the Thai bank us required as you are married to Thai.

Forget the business visa route. Too difficult to get the visa needed inside Thailand.

In December 2020 you posted:

Hi, I am foreigner woman married with Thai man. I came to Thailand 1 year multi entry marriage visa. This is my first time I have to do report 90 days or apply 60 days extension. What all papers I need to make 90 day report? And how about 60 extension? I don't know yet when I have to fly back to Europe so that's why I don't know yet which one, 90 days report or 60 days extension.

Sorry I am asking this but I get s lot information and they are all different that other. And this is my first time. My passport is stamp now 18.2.2021. Can I do report online or should I travel to immigration? It's one day trip. I want to be sure that I do everything correctly.

I asked because I thought that I could get 60 days extension + 1 year extension so 1 year and 60 days.

I read here lots of horror stories about marriage extensions about photos etc and immigration wants to check house and neighbors etc and I have job opportunity so that's why I thought maybe that would be easier, but maybe it's not.

as married to Thai you can easily get a work permit to work.

If you are legitimately and currently married to a Thai..

With Thai marriage certificate..

Keep or get the one year extension of stay based on marriage to Thai.
