Ask from ACS Amin? Travel insurance is not usually are same price like health insurance. Health insurance could be easily 4000thb because those covered differently. Travel insurances are usually 500-1000thb by month.

It isn't cheap but it is the best cover you can get for Thailand, people who pay far less need to read the small print
But did yours include riding a motorbike ? Did his ? Does yours include cover when scuba diving ? Rock Climbing, or other extreme activities ? Did his ? Do they settle bills directly with the biller, or do you have claim back any expenses once paid for by yourself ? What about his ? In the event of your sudden death, What amount of money and to whom do they pay ? And his ? Do you get my point ? its like stating that your bicycle is better or cheaper, when you dont even know what bicycle he has, and you don't even know what bicycle you have.
or message her and she will give you good options.

Throwing my hat in the ring here, going to thailand for 3 months soon, age “68”, paid for flight with visa credit card, what’s my best insurance options, uk citizen,.
I suffered a massive heart attack in Thailand....what I learnt was that not all Hospitals have a Cardiac specialist...and I had to go to two other hospitals to find a specialist...so my advice is to get the best you can afford....I had to hire Ambulance to get me to each Hospital...so I will always but the best cover insurance
can't remember the name...I had to pay up front then claimed after I got out of the hospital...I was dying so a little difficult to arrange insurance...but my wife saved me ...she phoned around the other hospitals until we found a cardiac surgeon... luckily he was visiting the local hospital In Phitsaluk training other surgeons...so I was extremely lucky.
I pay this once a month. It renews every month. Safetywing is the name.

I don't see how this comes to a discussion of to insure or not to insure rather than one about price. That price seems high, but, of course, we don't know what cover or your personal details. Always worth remembering that annual travel insurance often costs very little more.
Might not have been in home Country when taking out the insurance? Premium rises with age of course. But correct to obtain it. So many people believe they can return home for free healthcare. Can’t do that if you have severe injuries or suffer a stroke (for example).

Great deal. Your suitcase alone (not including contents) might be worth that. If lost by airline you could get some money back but not if stolen from hotel room. Then there’s compensation for delays and cancellation. If you came off a moto you might need X-Rays and CT/MRI scans.

Krystian Siek Slight change of subject. In Thailand not yet. In U.K. only began to roll them out in the last week. However, in my small town South of Khon Kaen our local community hospital have only lost one Covid patient. She was an elderly Chinese lady who had refused all vaccinations.

Krystian Siek Don’t watch TV. Mrs has several friends who are domestics and nurses at our local hospital. We get good information.

Normally travel insurance is included when you pay with credit card 💳, so then you don’t need extra insurance.
But if you don’t have any insurance, then it would be very stupid if you hadn’t bought any.
don't have yo pay with credit card ! just have own a credit card !!insurance is included in the yearly fare ... just ask your banker . I know many people who have used it ... no problem .. most of bankers don't let you know . absolutely no need of extra insurance !!!!!!
You can get complementary travel insurance up to 6 months with certain credit cards.

And most Thai insurances have silly maximums payouts of like 100,000 Thai baht.l, or even less like 10k.

Be careful - Thailand hospitals accept direct payment from insurance company from a very small and limited list of foreign insurance companies.
They will typically bill you and expect payment in full at time of service, and then its up to you to seek reimbursement from your insurance provider. Which can take weeks.
If you purchase insurance from a Thai company, much more likely they will accept direct payment from the company.
Most hospitals have a list of the insurance companies they accept direct payment from. Check the list before you purchase insurance.
