Where should I do my 90-day report in Thailand, Krabi or Samui?

Hi, I came to Thailand 21.11.2020 and I stayed in Koh Lanta to end of June. I have O visa and I got my one year extension from Krabi. I moved to Samui closer to hospital 1.7.2021. Someone told me that I have to do my 90 days report in Krabi and someone told I have to do in Samui. I got lots of different answers from people. So Krabi or Samui? I tried to do it online but no, same same like before, system error.

I have cancer and I don't have immunity at all and I get chemo on Monday so I feel REALLY sick 🤢 about 5 days after that and my report day is 8.9.2021.

So what I should do? Samui or Krabi? Can someone else do it for me because I am really sick?

Thank you all information 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual has an O visa and is currently deciding where to submit their 90-day report, either in Krabi or Samui, as there was conflicting advice on the matter. Given their health condition due to cancer and chemotherapy, they are seeking help on whether someone else can submit the report on their behalf. It was confirmed that someone else can indeed submit the report if they have the individual's passport and a signed form. Additionally, they can opt to do the report in Samui, provided they registered their new address there. If unable to report on time, they may incur a 2,000 THB fine when they next visit immigration. While online reporting attempts were unsuccessful, community members suggested that the process can sometimes be easier in person.

and I think the O/P has more than enough info to get the 90 day report done, OR just wait it out and pay the 2000baht fine when ever they can get it done.

Good luck with it, (y)

IMPORTANT REMINDER: Each immigration office is different. If you're giving advice, remember the rules for Chai Nat Province is a lot different than Trat Province (for example). Also, before linking to any agency's websites for forms, check the "Files" section of the group to see if we have the form posted already.

For the TM30 (because that's being mentioned), you can use one of the following three programs:

Online

**********************************************

Apple:

Android

*************************************************************************

I *HEARD* the Android application is the only one that is working right now. You also need some information from the property owner as well. OR just ask the property owner to do it for you.

If the 90 day online report system does not work, AND you’re between the due date and 15 days prior to the due date, AND you already filed one 90 day report in person, there are some troubleshooting techniques you can use to try and get the system to work for you.

1. Make sure you’re filling in the information, and only the information, requested.

2. Make sure you are keying in the date and month correctly

3. Turn off any pop-up blockers

4. Turn off any auto-translate

5. Turn off any VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) that you may be using - including any data saving applications

6. If you’re using one of the applications, use the web-based system

7. If you’re using the web based system, try using a different browser and clear the cache.

8. Make sure your web browser isn’t automatically filling in the forms.

9. Make sure you aren’t confusing “O”(Oh) with “0” (zero)

10. If you’re keying your date manually, try using the drop-down date selection box

If the system still doesn’t work, then you may need to file it in person.

ANYONE can do a 90 day report for you. They will need to bring your passport, and your prior 90 day notice (if you have one already). The service is free. There is a 7 day grace period after it's due

* * *

IF you do NOT submit a 90 day report, the WORSE that will happen is you'll get fined 2,000 THB the next time you do something at the immigration office. There is NO other fine, you WILL NOT get thrown out of the country, and honestly, shouldn't be something you should worry about too much 🙂

Talk to them, if you're going through a premium clinic, they may be able to do it for you.

You also have a 7 day grace period to get it done.

I recommend talking to your hospital about doing it, OR getting a friend to do it for you, or just pay the 2K THB fine the next time you get an extension.

I had the same problem with the website last week... You can download the app which is more simpler and works properly. Section 38 I think it is called.

When you moved you should have registered your new address in samui. If so you can do your report there. And yes someone can do it for you but they need to have your passport and completed/signed form. Good luck with your treatment.

Yes, my landlord didn't do it for me and said the office was closed (which wasn't true). So I got necessary documents from her, filed it myself two months late and paid the fine just to be on the safe side.

Hello Sara

I know someone with cancer as well, and it's making her life really really bad 🙁

>Can someone else do it for me because I am really sick?

Yes you can! I recommend talking to the hospital about doing the 90 day report for you, or if you have a friend, they can do it for you too. IF you do not do a 90 day report, then you'll simply pay a 2K THB fine the next time you get a new extension of stay.
