KTK is a decent hotel with a great breakfast buffet. They have regular hotel rooms and also offer longer stay rooms with much more room and comfort.

you can take a trip over to Cambodia as they have a lot of good Mexican food in Phnom Penh. I found a lot of American brands and foods we Americans are used to during my visit.

In terms of peace of mind and financial stability the VA’s Foreign Medical Program covers several hospitals here and as stated before is direct with all the Bangkok Hospitals throughout Thailand. There is enrollment documents online search VA’s site for FMP. It will only cover what your primary care providers says is service connected but there are many things associated with that and FMP will provide you an enrollment package that says what is actually covered. It is not the same of cover all like in the states.

Yes because they will fill in US tax forms to report your foreign bank account. Required for US citizens

A friend of mine just went through the married visa process and it’s already over 1 year but they are close to getting it. He came to Thailand and married her then they started the process about 1.5 years ago. Took some time before starting the application by getting translated docs.
