I fly American out of the US, but I have a lot of connecting flights, I hit two American cities and three countries, my longest trip was 52 hours. I only check in with American Airlines and I get all my boarding passes from them. I don’t see immigration until I enter Thailand, only the basic security checks along the way. I have never flown with JAL

no I’ve always come with no visa and no problem and no onward travel, and only have record of tourist extensions for Muay Thai. Theyre always nice and welcoming.

Maybe just depends on those who have a record of leaving on time or not. My passport has pages of Thai visas and extensions for Muay Thai so they have my previous Thai addresses

you’re right. I fly out of USA and they don’t need it to leave, nor have I needed it to enter at BKK, DMK, or HKT

Careful with the agents, you don’t need them unless you don’t meet a requirement and you need to pay them to get around it. They’re extra nice and make you think that you need it. They also need to hang on to your passport for a few days, may be inconvenient. Go directly to immigration

Does your plane ticket offer emergency insurance? The Public hospital doesn’t take insurance anyways so it’s reimbursement

I found it easier to get in person once you're there. They don't ask for a return ticket on entry or at immigration. American airlines tickets are refundable but check your airline
