@Sinsupa *******
. Yes can be done, but alas not every imm. office does this as
@Stu***
says. So you have to ask 'your' imm. office if they do. Then you have to ask for the handout when you can do it over there. Most important what I understand is that you have a Thai bank account. Sometimes you can do it with an income statement from y'r embassy, but many times you need to transfer 800k฿ (or 400k฿ when based on marriage) as international transfer on that bank account in your name only. But you have to ask. For Germans visa exempt is 30 days (From 1st of october 45 days) indeed. Which you can extend for 30 days should you need more time.

It's the same when book a flight ticket. Y'r name must be exactly as in y'r passport. In my passport it's "Petrus" but my call name is "Peter". So tickets have to be booked with "Petrus". Some airliners can correct this for some money, but some don't if it's not the passport name. Guess this is about a same problem. 🤷‍♂️

Aha
@Tod ********
. Oh, that's sometimes a pity then. So it only should work when you ask for the visa in y'r home country 'on the edge' with timing, so you only get it when already in Thailand. (And hopefully approved). Thanks !!

So your last remark
@T**
, can be a little less stressful way to stay a bit longer in Thailand. Ask E-visa (tourist visa) a week or so before you fly. Should you already get it just keep the printed pdf in y'r pocket and from 1st of october come in visa exempt (if from exempt country) 45 days, extend 30 days, border bounce (tourist visa still valid within 90 days) and then come in on the tourist visa, which can be extended again for 30 days. Also as above, when you get the visa (.pdf) when you are already in Thailand. So then no visa run (buy visa in other country) needed.

@Sharon ********
Just go for y'r year extension 3th of October. Then enough time for the 1 month in consideration. New date will be added to the enddate of your current extension.

@Klaus *****
, no, but from 1st of october on, there is no test needed anymore for entry to Thailand I read everywhere.

@Michael ******
,
@Scotty ********
, must be over 50 !

Yep, that was what I was thinking. The rest is some paperwork. Also, what you want an IN THAILAND Non imm O based on retirement or the same but asked in a Thai Embassy/Consulate in y'r home country. Both are for 90 days stay in Thailand, so after 60 days or so, you can go for a year extension.

Aha, Korat. Normal is only passport. Did my first 90 days again after holiday trip. Had copies TM47, TM6 and copy entry stamp from passport. Lady trown all copies in the bin, looked at my passport, then computer, printed the paper with next date and ready. So think you need nothing as y'r passport.
Peter ****************
Oh, sorry
@Gerry **********
, my mistake 🙄 Thought of the date of the former 90 day paper. But indeed with a new entry you just count the 90 days.
Peter ****************
And remember
@Gerry **********
, it's the real date on y'r paper that counts. So not the regular 2 weeks before or 1 week after due date you normally can go.
