1. You may not get a tourist visa in Hong Kong as they are pretty strict. 2. If you do, you still may get pull up trying to enter Thailand and refused even though you've got a visa. Id have the 3 proof ofs handy when you fly back.

Come with the 3 proof ofs. 20k baht, hotel booking, and ticket out of Thailand. Nobody here can tell you what the IO will do on the day you arrive.

Single entry TV is valid for 60 days and if you leave it ends the visa. You can get a reentry permit though.
