Try to get 90 day non o visa from within France before you leave. The financial banking requirements are not so high. It only costs 1900 baht and will know before.you leave that you will probably be allowed entry. That is still however up to the immigration officer you are in arrival

I did two both with thirty day extension...second one immigration ask a lot about why here so long ...but was ok.in the end...

yeah I use starling..no fee on atm or Debit card payment. Normally a good rate too. Surprised they are not mentioned more

Anna Brodleyyeah I was surprised as well. Not sure why do difficult. I even had a letter from immigration confirm they have proof of residence TM30 ..thai girlfriend translated but didn't really need to as it was pretty much a no not interested as soon as seen ????.....Bangkok bank were adamant the 90 day non o was a tourist visa and said that is why they won't do it...

I did this last week . Arrived from Laos with the non o 90 day. Was not east to find a bank that would open the account. I had every thing needed. Bangkok bank...k bank and SCB all refused. Krungsri let me and done in 30 minutes. All main branches in Udon thani....so is possible but not as easy as I thought it would be.

I didn't say I was banned from ever getting a border exemption again. I just told you what the immigration officer said to me on departure.I

I was surprised as we'll ..but it's what he said...I had been grilled in Bangkok on arrival in March so guess things are getting tighter,although I didn't use the agent border bounce so guess he was getting no baht lol

Got a grilling on arrival in March at Bangkok....due previous long stay,

/60...away 5 months and on return got stopped for thirty minutes,agreed to let me in but I was expecting the worse after such a grilling,did 30 day extension and just returned from Laos with non o (90 day).

On the way out.of Thailand at nong khai the immigration officer said to me;

Don't come back unless you have the correct visa as you will not be allowed back again with visa exemption !!!! Definitely getting tougher

seems to be a crackdown. Was also apparent coming back from Laos last week. I was ok but two guys in front of me refused entry as they had done 60 exempt 30 extension,been Laos two days and trying to come back k in to Thailand again as 60 day visa exemptions...

Qatar more strict I guess..but being strict..means they should know all the rules for every country so is impossible I guess. Lucky some one knows about your non o lol
