Dealing with "medical extensions" is difficult already, but that someone get's an extension for GF it is unheard. I would say no, but the friend of OP could still do a quick trip to border to get another 30days which is extendable by a further 30days.

This is one of the wonders of Thailand. I am sure back in someones home country the person would question everything and double check, etc. Once they reach Thailand it appears to me that all things are forgotten and the people go into "I thought" mode and than disaster hits. If in doubt ask people, even a trip to Immigration might be easier than to clear the mess afterwards.

There are people who can offer a paid service, but there is always a doubt re the info they give. If you in Bangkok just take a copy of his/her passport (latest) and go down to Suan Plu, the IDC section are the guys who maintain the database.

OP confirmed that it was his fifth SETV in 2 years. No changes at the Embassy, when they gave double entry they gave three total, now with SETV they give five in total, means they will also count visa from other places. However it is still one of the most pleasant Thai Embassies.

, before you start to make the world crazy please tell how many SETV in your passport. Vientiane usually count to 5 and give this warning, so you might had three from other place and two from Vientiane. I will turn off commenting until we hear from the OP. Thanks

I can supply the name of a friend of mine (US) who got denied entry in December while on ED Visa, he waited three days in the airport lock up before they flew him, via Hing Kong back to the US. He got passport back only at LA airport....

not with that stamp. But if you go to Thai Embassy and get the tourist or non immigrant visa and show cash in hand it will be OK, but not on visa exempt
