Question. I, US citizen, and my wife, Korean citizen, used a visa border run service to Chontorburi. I am on 30 exempt and wife on 90 days. Wife was denied and the official statement from visa company was that today was unlucky day. Any real legal reason for the denial as wife is not overstay and was rejected the visa run. Thanks all.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A US citizen and his Korean wife experienced a visa denial during their border run to Chontorburi. While the husband was on a 30-day exemption, the wife was denied entry despite not overstaying her visa. Community insights suggest that Korean citizens may have restrictions on obtaining a 90-day visa exemption at certain border crossings, indicating potential legal reasons for her denial. Additionally, there is a caution against using visa agents for assistance.

Copied this from a visa run company site: Brazil, Peru, Argentina, Chile and South Korea can NOT get 90 day visa exempt stamp at these two land border crossings. Need fly OUT/IN or apply Tourist Visa.

I close comments as subject is clear. The statement from visa company is rubbish. They should have known.

we are a visa run company and , already, since 2014, we have been advised that South Korean can not do a border run at Thai-Cambodian border or at Kanchanaburi. We have never been shown a notification, I think it has multiple reason which I not want to list as this is guesswork only. The message is either Fly OUT/IN or get a proper visa. Sorry.

No, I just thought that koreans were alloted 90 days through the bilateral agreement.

Yet another reason why this group shuns the use of "agents" when seeking visa assistance.

I don't think Koreans can do land border runs
