Is there any way I can extend my visa ?

Hello, can anyone suggest the cheapest and quickest way to complete a DTV border run?

I’m fast approaching my deadline (180 days) to leave so I don’t exactly plan on taking a short vacation anymore so any suggestions are welcome. Thanks

A quick update on my visit to CW to:

1) Transfer stamps to my new UK passport that was issued in Thailand after my last overseas trip at Xmas time.

2) Submit 90 day report ( first in person report after overseas trip)

Stamp transfer went like clockwork. I just handed over the form and the copies listed on the form.

For the 90 days report I had made an appointment through the online booking system. Appointment was for 11:40am and I was called at 11:41am so can’t complain about that!

I had prepared a new TM30 as soon as I received my new passport but the IO informed me that the new passport hadn’t been registered in their system until I had completed the stamp transfer had been completed therefore my TM30 was invalid. She let it go and approved my report but said I needed to resubmit my TM30 again with the new passport number before my next report as indicated by the below stamp on my 90 day receipt. Conclusion. If you get a new passport in country you need to complete the stamp transfer process and submit a new TM30 before you do a 90 day report or it might be rejected. In my case I managed to do stamp transfer and 90 day report on the same day but only because the IO was kind enough to give me a pass this time. I will do a new TM30 and see if I can do my next report online.

I don't have any visa currently but if I were to send more than Bt65k into my Thai account every month for more than 12 months, could I simply then go and get a retirement extension to my non immigrant O visa ?

I know I can park Bt800k but is this an option ?

Hi, still a bit confused about the second 90 days report. I did my first one in Phuket. I am due to do my second 20th of April. I want to travel a round in Thailand and also do one week in Vietnam. Can I do the report from the closest Immigration office? Think I will be in BKK before I fly home or if I leave for Vietnam for one week, there is no need to report? And when I re-enter for a week or two before leaving, will I be stamped in as visa exempt or a DTV 180 days? If so, will it effect number of days next time I want to come back. Possibly stupid questions but would like to be law abiding even though I still do not fully understand the rules.

Hey all! I'm coming up on my first 6 months in country on DTV, with passport showing March 1 as exit date. My plan was to fly to Kuala Lumpur Feb 28 and return March 2 for another 180 days. However, my 2nd 90-day reporting date is Feb 25.

Can I ignore the Feb 25 90-day report and just leave on the 28th? It will reset the 90 day report to when I arrive back on March 2nd right?

Edit - [members only]/

Can do 90 day report up to 7 days after due date for no penalty. Thanks for the responses.

I am currently on Non-O based on marriage first 90-day entry. I am scheduled to leave 11th March and I had a trip planned which I need to cancel now. I have only put the 400k in to my Thai Bank today, so it will not be seasoned for the full 2 mths before March 11.

Question I guess is can my local immigration give me a 60 day extension to be able to then process my 1 year extension in April instead to save me having to leave?
