Do I need a re-entry permit for my DTV after leaving Thailand temporarily?

Hello,

I activated my DTV on April 5, 2025, and it's valid until October 2, 2025, according to the 180-day period allowed.

However, I temporarily left Thailand before the expiration date of October 2.

I left Thai territory to return to my country on May 5, 2025.

I'm returning to Thailand on May 28, 2025. Are there any steps I need to take in this case ?

I saw that there was a re-entry permit application to avoid losing my visa. Do I need to apply?

Thank you in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user activated their Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) on April 5, 2025, and inquired about the necessity of a re-entry permit after temporarily leaving Thailand on May 5, 2025. The consensus among comments clarified that the DTV is a multiple-entry visa and does not require a re-entry permit. Upon returning on May 28, 2025, the user will simply receive a new 180-day entry stamp.

Omfg, how did they ever complete the application?

There's nothing to do. I've reentered 5 times already and always get a new 180 day stamp. I don't stay more than a month in Thailand.

You’re over thinking. You re-enter and your 6 months starts again

I think you do NOT understand how that visa works

- You have a FIVE YEAR Destination Thailand VISA

- You do NOT need a re-entry permit πŸ˜•

- Look at your VISA, it will say "Multiple" by the No of Entries <- that means the visa is good for unlimited entries during the 5 years it's valid for

- Each entry gets you stamped in for 180 days (just like when you showed up Apr 5th and were stamped in until Oct 2nd)

- When you leave the country the entry stamp cancels

- When you come back to thailand you show the DTV print out along with your passport and you will get a NEW 180 day entry stamp.

The DTV is multiple entry so you don't need a re-entry permit. Even if you did you need to get that before leaving Thailand

You just re enter and get another 6 months stamp

The DTV is already a multi entry. All you need to do is the TDAC
