Some bank branches still give the 12-month statement listing just the international transfers, so no, they are not interested in other transactions, only in the 12 monthly 65k transfers. Some people don't update their bank books frequently, so sometimes individual transfers are missed, hence the 12 month statement

Thank goodness for Chaengwatthana! They've been extremely consistent over the years and I've always got everything wrapped on the same day!

Because the embassy is actually making a false declaration. They're certifying something which they have not verified. That's why the others stopped, because they sought legal advice and were told what they are doing is unlawful and leads the signatory open to court action

CW always requests bankbook, with updated balance on the date of appointment. A bank book doesn't tell you where you are spending money, and there's no requirement to spend it in Thailand anyway

So why do they sell METVs which are specifically valid for six months? It seems you make up your own rules! 😂😂

Here we go again. It's a legitimate visa which allows multiple 60-day entries over a six month period. What were the warnings about? Or just more negativity from this group?

With an METV you can get almost nine months in the country with two strategic border bounces. Completely legal. Calendar year totally irrelevant

The article on The Thaiger was pure clickbait. They referred to a "new" retirement visa which is over two years old. There's three other retirement visas, the conditions of which haven't changed for years. If you're thinking of retiring to Thailand, my first piece of advice to you is to ignore the crap being pedalled by The Thaiger. You're welcome

Read the conditions of application. You will definitely lose the application fee for the visa, but you will most probably get a refund for whatever course you are applying for
