Do I need to file a 90-day report before flying out of Thailand?

ORIGINAL POSTERI have a flight out of Thailand on Monday. My 90 day report is actually today (first time reporting)
I'm lead to beleive that there is a 5 days grace post 90 days mark?
So I will be ok to just fly out as planned without having to head to immigration for the report right?

If you have a flight out of Thailand and it's your 90-day reporting day, you should be aware that there is a reporting window from 14 days before to 7 days after the 90-day mark. However, if you are leaving the country, you are not required to report in person, as airport immigration does not check for the 90-day report. It's generally accepted that you can fly out without completing the report.

The grace period you speak of is a reporting window, not a grace period. You have 21 days to report in person, from 14 days before till 7 days after.

Will never be picked up. I've done it myself over the years if I've been leaving shortly after the 90 day report is due. Once you've left and come back they really don't care about old TM30s and 90 day reportsAnonymous ******************

Sorry James. It's nothing to do with luck. Once you've left, immigration don't care. In the golden era of the OA visa (before the insurance headache) no-one ever went to immigration, no one did TM30s and 90 day reports and no-one ever got fined. There's no actual grace period. There's a window of 14 days before to 7 days after, but if you're in the country on the 90th day you are required to report. However, if you're leaving the country, don't worry about it. Airport immigration don't give a stuff

an extension is cheap and easy for the people that have all the correct documents but many people got their DTV using 6 month courses and they haven't paid for another 6 months so they can't get an extension. Also many people no longer have the equivalent 500k baht in their bank, these people also can't do an extension. There only option is a border runGee *****

Exactly! So worrying about a 90-day report on the day the OP is leaving is beyond ridiculous. I'm sure if I had a flight out at say 2.00pm I'm going to be racing to the immigration office when it opens to stand in a queue and wait for my number to be called just to file a meaningless report and then race to the airport to get there in time to check-in! Immigration at the airport doesn't care about 90 day reports. You'll be totally fine.
The 90 day report is only checked at the immigration offices, and is technically not mandatory if you're only staying 180 days at a time and don't have to go to immigration for extensions.

It is mandatory if you stay more than 90 days but chances to get issues at the border are very low. If you need documents from immigration other than extension, you'll get fined if not done.Steve *******
