DLT offices where an agent will bet your license in a day - there is now a 3 month waiting list in Phuket to get an appointment all because they spotted the gravy train - we now have to drive to Phang Nga or pay an agent (bribe)

Wise to ask, sending these items by courier is secure, however local charges on arrival from both Customs and the carrier will probably make it cheaper to buy here, I spent my career at DHL & UPS so I know how they operate - finding a “courier” is the next best option, easy to send it domestically in the US if you can find someone to bring it over for you

Easy enough at airport, took 10 mins if you download and complete TM8 form and take passport photo you save on B100 fee……immig offices will be hectic over next few weeks due to public holidays

I brought a 20ft container of effects here from South Africa, furniture, and other household items many of which have been with us for 30 years……we paid the clearing agent about $600 in import taxes, as long as the agent has a full inventory of furniture it’s straightforward - we retired so no work permits etc hence the taxes
