TLDR : Answer Summary
There is ongoing discussion regarding new document requirements for travelers in Thailand starting from May 1st. Some users mention that it is currently labeled as a proposal, while others assert that it has been stated that travelers will "must" comply with the requirements. The subject has sparked various reactions, with concerns about added costs and bureaucratic processes. A meeting is scheduled to discuss this matter further.

It’s now in Thai media - proposal or otherwise, always good to prepare, better than trying to find a biro/pen over breakfast 🙂

@Michael ******
how do you prepare for a website that might or might not exist? Pre-type the web address into your browser?

There’s a meeting this Friday about this.

@Graham *****
It states "must" from May 1st. So it's not now a proposal

@Mark *******
it is just a proposal, it is unclear if the website they plan to implement it in will work. And last but not least it won't start before it hasn't been published in the Royal Gazette
Graham ******
@Mark *******
I know what it states and I know it is still being discussed so until it appears in the Royal Gazette there is no must
Graham ******
There is no "must" yet, it is a proposal being discussed
Kai ******
A process with useless additional cost on Thai gov side and waste of time for travelers, that literally brings nothing new to the table.

@Kai *****
It will soon have a 300b ‘tourist tax’ payment form at the end
