I am visiting my son soon. I have done this. Then I use the Baht in my account to pay for most things. I converted when the rate was 46 baht to £.

Used last year and had no probs at all. I never use machines.

Sorry to hear you are so down. Unfortunately running to another country in the hope you will find happiness won’t work. You have to have some sort of plan in place and also a plan if it goes wrong. Maybe try studying for something that will help you in getting the job you want.

I hope you find some answers.

My son lives in Bangkok. He spent over 4 years studying for his degree while looking after my Grandson. He is now working in a school as a teacher.

But I do own a full motorbike licence and make sure they add that also. Just in case I want to risk it. 😅

I don’t have a Thai Licence. I just need international Driving Permit when I visit my family, once a year.

no I visit every year from U.K. I got a new one last year and it is valid for 3 years. It used to be a year.

I’ve just looked it up. My local petrol station issues them. (Very odd) and it 3 years. I think it’s code 1968 or something.

My son has lived in Thailand for over 8 years. He has recently got his teaching degree in which he obtained a 1st. This took 4 years as he was also looking after my grandson while his wife worked. He has just got a job as a teacher. Nothing comes easy. It has been hard work. But worth it.
