You don't need it for the Thai Pass but you will have to show it to your airline before your board/for your arrival in Thailand.

Yeah the New York consulate said the site would be "down" until the 12th, which seemed to be correct because my application ( D.C.) updated on the 12th. They just asked for an additional document today. So at least on the U.S. side it seems to be up and running again.

Nah fam just not trying to get my visa rejected when I'm flying out in nine days. Your suggestion makes no sense. They'd tell me to just reapply under the right visa, nevermind that they'd also ask for proof of whatever education I'd supposedly be getting.

"Of course you do" - I knew I needed proof of onward travel for the flight/arrival. It being required for the visa was a gray area, as is proven by this comment section.
