Hello,

The Thai embassy in France made an announcement on their website saying that "All embassies had a problem accessing thaievisa platform and none of them have been able to process visa since the 6th of November".

Have you heard about this? Is it the same in your country? Do you know if this has been resolved?

TLDR : Answer Summary
There has been a widespread issue with the Thai eVisa platform affecting embassies around the world since November 6, 2021. Reports indicate that several consulates, including those in the UK and the USA, have experienced disruptions in processing visa applications. Some users from the USA confirmed that the service has resumed as of November 12, while others in the UK reported successful processing of their applications during the same period. Overall, most embassies are expected to resolve the issues soon.

Yeah the New York consulate said the site would be "down" until the 12th, which seemed to be correct because my application ( D.C.) updated on the 12th. They just asked for an additional document today. So at least on the U.S. side it seems to be up and running again.

Why would you read an official announcement that says all embassies and then come here to ask?

Yes other people have had the problem because it's all embassies that use the evisa platform.

Hey
@Brandon ***********
, for multiple reasons.

1. I have a double nationality, so when i saw the announcement, i went to other embassies but couldn't fine any mention of the incident.

2. I have seen people on this group saying they did received their visa recently. So i was wondering if they got through somehow.

3. The announcement was a few days back and no update since. A return to normal announcement could have been omitted.

4. The message from the embassy is unclear in french.

5. It is a real mission to get hold of someone at the embassy. But this group is really active and i thought i could potentially have the info I was looking for here.

Widely reported best way to get a response from embassy is Facebook Messenger. A few people report success with e-mail and phone but most report no response at all. Even FB is hit or miss but higher odds. But if it's about getting a visa while the system is down, you'll just be talking to a brick wall.

haha. Yep. The embassy in France don't have Facebook messenger set up or even Twitter. They never answer to comments on their posts. You can just email or call..

But i agree. Not much to do about it anyway. Even if you do manage to get them, the answer would probably be "the system is down. We are looking into it".

It’s been widely reported that there’s been a problem. Various consulates have said it will be fixed by xx/xx/xxxx date but we haven’t been able to confirm when. Hopefully in the next day or so.

I submitted my tourist visa application to the Thai Embassy in Paris on Nov. 3. No change since then, still "processing"

Just received my evisa by email from Embassy in Paris. So the computer system seems to be working again.
