TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around expats' experiences with SafetyWing as their insurance provider. While some users express dissatisfaction due to limited coverage, particularly regarding asymptomatic treatment, others share positive experiences, highlighting the ease of obtaining coverage and approval by Thai authorities for entry. One user mentioned their successful claim related to COVID-19 evacuation flights, while another opted for AXA for better hospital quarantine coverage. Overall, potential users are advised to thoroughly read the policy details to ensure it meets their needs.

I used them last year to enter Thailand under the asq scheme and their certificate and coverage was approved by Thai authorities . I never had to make a claim so can't comment on if they actually pay out on claims. This time I'm using AXA from Thailand as I know they will cover hospital quarantine if I test positive or happen to be unlucky enough to be seated next to someone who tests positive.

I used it back in the start of 2020. They lended up paying for my flight home in March of 2020 because of covid under the political evacuation policy. Was pretty simple to work with them and get it to ๐. Just have to see and read the policy carefully to make sure it fits your needs.

It does not cover asymptomatic treatment, so many people do not like it.
