TLDR : Answer Summary
An American applicant shared their experience applying for a 60-Day Single Entry Tourist Visa at the D.C. consulate. They submitted their application on November 1st and received approval by November 18th after a series of status updates and a request for additional travel information. Commenters discussed their own visa application timelines and experiences, including a frustrating scenario with delayed responses and extra fees.

I had very bad experience with e visa.

I made a small mistake. The cancel my applycation and made me pay twice. I Think Thailand are not fair.

exact same for me: applied for a non-imm (O) on the 1st, on the 16th they asked for a proof of accomodation for my whole trip, and got my visa this afternoon. Ottawa embassy in Canada.

Glad for and appreciate you sharing, I'm on day 17 with the NYC consulate, fly Tuesday, and they aren't answering emails. I have a backup plan booking an onward flight then canceling it after I board. But it sure would be nice to just get the visa so I don't have to jump hoops doing a visa run at 60 days.

Good to know people can plan. Still a long time for a visa though.
