This is how my PCR test went over at my AQ hotel (The Green View in Bangkok/Samut Prakan):
At 1:30PM I checked into my hotel and was immediately directed to their swabbing station, which was just a little table outside with a nurse and covid kits. She asked for my passport and then made me check that my name was correct on the vial. She swabbed one nostril and my mouth and told me my results would come in at 1AM. I went up to the hotel room right afterwards. I did not hear anything after that - I actually called reception the next morning at 10AM because I had no clue if I was good to go or not. I was. When I checked out they gave me an envelope with the test inside - it said my sample was received at 7:23PM and tested 7:34PM - as well as a rapid testing kit. So in sum: test was administered at 1:30PM, received at lab at 7:23PM, and tested at 7:34PM. I do not know how long it took to get back to the hotel, but I imagine it couldn't have taken more than a few hours.
