I entered Thailand on tourist visa and switched over to Ed visa. At the time they were only doing 8 month Ed visas. My attached sheet of paper said

(yesterday) I just didn't know I had to do 90 day if I had jist went to immigration for my visa stamp for Ed extension. Totally my fault for not understanding everything first time around. Got it all taken care of yesterday but was just a little worried since it was my first 90 day report. Appreciate the follow up.
I 100 percent sure. When I came to Thailand they were only offering 8 month education visas due to the borders being closed. I have never used a agent, I've only dealt with my schools admin. Plus I've gone to immigration 3 times and I'm 100 percent sure I'm on a Ed visa. I just worded it incorrect the first time because before covid Ed visas were longer, but during covid they were only allowing 8 month ones.
read the rest of the comments throughout all the groups. This visa is just dumb. It will cover less than 1 percent of people and most likely add to more money laundering through fake Thai businesses. Thailand never makes it simple for people who want to come here and stay maybe a year or 2. I'm turning 50 in 1 month and would love to stay in Thailand for another year or 2, but I refuse to tie up 800k of my money in Thai bank. As I stated in my comment, thailand should have 1 year legit visas where you can just pay to stay in Thailand with multiple entries and not have to go to your home country to apply.
